Drink better November 2, 2009

In her attempts to get us to drink water (we hardly drink at home, actually) at home, she’s getting us a drinking fountain.

Its believed that dogs, like our wolves ancestors, prefer fresh moving water over still water. She’s

guessing that this is the reason for us that our water bowl is hardly being touched.

Besides, she touched the human’s water fountain (that’s for display purposes only, not for us to drink!) accidentally one day and realised the moving water is actually much cooler. She feels that the same theory will apply to a drinking fountain.

There’s a few models of drinking fountains to chose for in the market and she’s chosen for us…the Catit water dome! Apparently she doesnt wants such a big drinking fountain. Also, she wants us to drink directly from moving water instead of still water, and the Catit is the only model she finds that does not have a bowl attached.

The water fountain should be on the way to our house sometime this week. And meanwhile, here’s the related links for the water drinking fountain:

She say to have sparkly white teeth, I must clean my teeth using oxtail bones. Oh those are delicious! However, they are also very yucky! So the correct way to eat them is only to bite them…but do NOT use your paws to touch it If not, those dainty little paws will stink!

Our last blog update was quite sometime ago. Well, I was really, really sick…and still not well yet. She say we’ll have to wait for another visit to the vet to see how things go.

One of our hammy siblings, Blossom, passed away yesterday. *boo-hoo*  She removed the surviving sister away from the tank. Bubbles, the remaining hammy, looks sad and lonely in the carrier. So she let us dogs keep it company. Lucky says its boring. So I stayed by Bubble’s side.

I’m a good hammy sitter! I helped looky after Bubbles!

Cheescake and Pasta August 19, 2009

We went out to the dogcafe to meetup with friends on Sunday. Since the poodle just recovered from a terrible diarrohea (as the whole world knows), we are to stay away from oily meats for the time being. Instead of the usual lamb shepherd’s pie, she ordered us a cheesecake to take home for supper that night.

And here’s us going ga-ga over the cheesecake!!!

Here’s also what we have for dinner just yesterday night: Pork, broccoli and veggeroni (that’s pasta, actually) sprinkled with wheat germ and cheese! She’s to stingy with the cheese thou. So the pasta was so bland I spat most of it out. *wuuuff*

She’s going on some pasta madness now and says that its pasta season at our house (the humans are having pasta for lunch today!). She’s going to cook up more pasta dishes for us. Like Dogborana Pasta and Doggeti Bolognese. Never heard of it? Either have us. I just hope its good.

If anydoggy wants, the cheesecake for dogs can be bought at Urban Pooch Dog Cafe.

Doggy Manicure August 7, 2009

My-my…she went out shopping just these afternoon and came back with some items for us.

One toy for the poodle, and then…a doggy’s nails clippers!  She says our nails are getting ridiculously long. Instead of waiting to go to our groomers, she’s doing it herself!

And we now have shorter trimmed nails now. The poodle screamed and struggled while hers was being done. As a result, she still have three toe nails that are not yet trimmed. She’s very determined thou that all of us will have trimmed nails by the end of today.

Me? I was so cool and calm while mine are being trimmed.

A sick poodle August 5, 2009

Me, Lucky, is starting to believe in retribution.

Just as I was complaining she bought the poodle to the dogshow and had lots of fun without me. The poodle had a real serious MAJOR diarrohea the whole of yesterday!

Its diarrohea with some blood too. Luckily she’s trained enough to be calm  to clean up diligently everytime the poodle does her business. Throw papers out to the main refuse chute the moment the poodle’s ‘business’ comes, clean with water, clean with vingar. Repeat procedure as many times as possible.

The poodle visited the vet yesterday evening and  they met a shih tzu by the name of Lucky at the clinic. And when the vet came to call the next patient, Lucky, in, silly her stood up! Gosh! How embarrassing that is! She’s so used to visiting the vet with me that she forgot is my poodle sister she’s carrying last night!

The vet is a kind lady thou, according to the humans. The poodle was diagnosed with having picked up some bad bacteria…suspected from the dogshow! She licks the floor too much. So is this what you can retribution??

Anyway, since she’s sick. I’m going to be nicer to her. Like helping her to eat her share of food and such.
